lol.) Maybe it's just fan-catering for money, but still, I'd like to think that the actors were amused by it. (Ooh, I remember that people were upset over that. The blatant fan-catering, anywhere from Germany's line to France's line about England and America. The crappy accents really help that.Īnd yes. Initially, it makes some people say "Whaa? Why in the world would you make it bad on purpose?" But as was mentioned earlier, this show is about sterotyping and poking fun at everyone. Rather than attempting to find people who could do convincing accents, they chose people who could do the most outrageously horrible ones possible. I also really like the way they did the accents. I never used to like the Chibitalia segments, but I really love them in English. For instance, Switzerland and Lichtenstien. Anyways, the English dub has made me really like a few characters I never before cared for. I have the feeling that every one of them loves it.

You can tell how much fun the Funi VA's are having with this, and that's what makes it great. I agree with the statement that the Japanese is cute, but the English has more edge. Even though I SHOULD know what happens next, I have had some literal spit-takes at some of the English lines. I can watch the Sub due to my impatience, and then buy the Dub when it comes out, but it's like I'm watching two almost completely different shows. Well, I actually really enjoy both! I'm glad that they're so different, actually. I understand that.īut I would like to hear your opinions on this whole ordeal. Examples would be some of the jokes, translations not accurately correct to people, or even the voices. I can understand some people not liking this because of various things. The actors are at their finest when they dubbed the Hetalia series. The jokes also are more witty than what the translation turns out to be. No offense to anyone who thinks it really differently about this series. People think the voices and jokes are offensive when the show is all about stereotyping. My thoughts on Hetalia being dubbed? I am really loving this. You may also put in your two cents about this being dubbed.
